Not long ago, fans of celebrities were only interested in the stars they loved. Over the past 10 years, though, people have fallen in love with the idea of going deeper into their favorite celebs’ lives. Today, each time a celebrity welcomes a new baby into the family, it sets off a frenzy of interest in the gossip circles. The adoration gives celebrity babies a certain amount of power, all their own. Here’s a list of 10 celebrity babies who’re much more famous than their parents.
1. Blue Ivy Carter
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s baby became world-famous shortly after conception, when Beyoncé announced her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards. When Jay-Z released his song Glory and dedicated it to his daughter, she became the youngest person ever to find a place on the Billboard charts.
2. Prince George Alexander Louis Mountbatten Windsor
Prince Charles’ first grandchild attracted a storm of media interest long before he was born. When parents Prince William and Kate Middleton published their first baby pictures, the international press couldn’t get enough. People Magazine’s August 5, 2013 issue sold more than a million copies.
3. North West
When Kim Kardashian announced that she was pregnant, the news was a godsend to the gossip industry. Tabloid papers, entertainment shows and paparazzi websites had all the material they needed. When the baby arrived, proud father Kanye West shopped her photos to Vogue Magazine.

Multiple Grammy-winner Adele gave birth to her son Angelo in October 2012. For the first 8 months after the child was born, Adele kept him under wraps, making sure that no paparazzo ever got a shot. It was only in summer the following year that photographers got a look at the baby, as Adele walked around with him at Central Park Zoo in New York. The pictures were flashed all over the world, across every news outlet.
5. Harper Seven Beckham
David and Victoria Beckham named their fourth child and their first daughter, Harper Seven. At 14 months, she is already off to a great start following in her fashionista mother’s footsteps – Victoria takes her to every fashion show she goes to. With a family fortune worth $300 million, the baby should have a wonderful life ahead.

6. Maxwell Drew Johnson
Jessica Simpson was on the cover of Elle and an assortment of major fashion and glamor magazines, as soon as she announced her pregnancy. Right after Maxwell was born, her famous mother snagged a multimillion-dollar deal with Weight Watchers to let them follow the way she regained her figure.
7. Willow Sage Hart
Singer Pink’s baby girl Willow Sage started out life with a cover on Who magazine and with compliments from around the world for her cuteness. Since her father Carey Hart is a famous biker, baby Willow made it to the covers of magazines in two entirely different areas.

Baby Vivian Lake has really famous parents – Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady – but she seems to be much more popular than her parents. When she debuted on Facebook, her appearance caused manic attention on the media. The world followed Baby Vivian’s every move.

Baby Samuel carries the names of both his famous parents: Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. While the paparazzi tried their best to get a shot of the baby as soon as he was born, his protective parents did a good job hiding him away. It was only in his second year that the world got to see what the cute, high profile baby looked like.

Penelope Cruz’s second daughter was born on the same day as Prince George. Admittedly, little Luna’s birth was overshadowed by the royal spectacle. Cruz and her husband, international star Javier Bardem, though, have both won Academy Awards. The baby could have great genes to shine on her own, one day.

Many wonder at the kind of interest that celebrity babies get. The interest isn’t hard to understand, though. They expect the children of special, talented people to be wonderful, as well.
